Solera Networks is a privately held Utah based software company that develops network deep packet capture[1] and stream-to-storage technology that captures and stores all data that crosses any network, even high-speed 10Gb networks. The technology is delivered as dedicated network appliances or as a virtual appliance. It is designed to enable root cause discovery[2] to improve security, support lawful intercept requests,[3] enhance network forensics and analytics, help enforce compliance, and ensure overall network availability and performance.
In 2008, the Principal Inventor of Solera's Technology sued the company in three separate actions. [4] The legal proceedings were subsequently settled out of Court.
